ORG Theater
Theater in its broadest sense offers a range of stages on which to deepen one’s understanding and empowerment in organizational life.
The following “stages” range from lowest involvement and investment (Staged performance) to highest (Life).
1. Staged performance allows one to sit back, observe, empathize with, and learn from the dramas played out before you. See Barry Oshry’s Organization Plays.
2. Interactive theatre allows audience members to enter a scene and attempt to create more positive outcomes. See Interactive Versions of Hierarchy.
3. In The Organization Workshop, Power Lab, and Merging Cultures you are the play.
4. Edge Theater is a powerful package for large audiences that combines stage performance (What a Way to Make a Living) with a jumbo version of The Organization Workshop.
5. And Life is the ultimate stage on which we play our parts well or poorly. wisely or foolishly, weakly or powerfully.
